Microcopy and Protest Signs

Microcopy and Protest Signs
Microcopy is the tiny words and phrases that help the User navigate through an Interface. These words and phrases exist in categories across screens and have distinct characteristics of purpose, tone, voice, visual appearance, meanings, and connotations behind them. Microcopy presents itself as an almost invisible guide that appears powerless yet has the authority to prompt instant actions/responses. This design project is an exploration built by repurposing the words and phrases that guide us through our interaction with our devices - Making ‘Microcopy’ and ‘Call to action words’ visible through a series of protest posters, these invisible words take on a role advocating social justice and equality.
